Under the shelter of the Tallit, representing the wedding canopy and home, is the "Magen David", the Shield of the Jewish People. "I am my beloved's and my beloved is Mine" and "I have found whom my soul loves" are from the Song of Songs of King Solomon.
Sivia Katz has created original Ketubot and calligraphic watercolors since 1972. Her paintings, based on Hebrew texts, combine the subtlety of contemporary color and design with the warmth of nature and the lyrical grace of the Hebrew letter. She has exhibited in museums and galleries throughout America and Israel.
