The doves of peace, mated for life, fly beneath the view of King David's tower and the walls of the Old City. "Wear me as a seal upon your heart, as a sign upon your heart" is a quote from the Song of Songs. "Yet shall be heard in the cities of Judea and within the walls of Jerusalem, the voice of gladness, the voice of joy, the voice of the groom, the voice of the bride" arches atop the Ketubah.
Sivia Katz has created original Ketubot and calligraphic watercolors since 1972. Her paintings, based on Hebrew texts, combine the subtlety of contemporary color and design with the warmth of nature and the lyrical grace of the Hebrew letter. She has exhibited in museums and galleries throughout America and Israel.
