Ruth Rudin was born in Haifa, Israel.The artist's study and career in art started early in her life, and she studied extensively both in Wizo in Israel, and Mass College of Art in Boston. Ruth works in many media, including watercolors, inks, fabric painting, gouache and computer graphics. Her works have ranged from graphic designs such as magazine layouts, catalogs, folders, CD covers, book covers, brochures and more, to calligraphy and illustrations.
Judaic themes, Israeli landscapes and city-scapes figure prominently in her work. Ruth captures important
Jewish life cycle events through her work; such as Birth Announcements, Bar/Bat Mitzvah portions and
most of all illuminated Ketubot.
